How it works:
1. Devices connect
Smart meters, sensors and safety devices capture data in the field using any standard communications protocol (3G/4G/5G, NB-IoT, LTE-M, LoRaWAN, Sigfox, WiSUN, ZigBee).
2. Platforms aggregate
Data flows into X2M’s cloud-based platforms (Vision or Hive.AI) where it’s stored, analysed and made available for automated decision-making.
3. Organisations act
Real-time dashboards, automated alerts and AI-driven insights support faster operational decisions, often without human intervention.

Vision by X2M
The core Smart City platform for smart metering and utility management across water, gas, electricity and related resources. Vision provides two-way communication with connected devices, automates manual processes and surfaces operational data for better decisions. X2M’s patented micro-engine technology (FME) embeds intelligence anywhere from the device level (edge computing) to cloud based processing, enabling autonomous decision-making without reliance on central servers and hiding network and solution topology differences from the higher level applications and users.

Hive.AI by X2M applies analytics and machine learning to solar forecasting, battery storage management, energy distribution within precincts and energy trading driving automated outcomes without human involvement.
