Product Overview

HelpMe is a compact, rechargeable personal safety device that connects people directly to police and emergency services with a single press. When activated, HelpMe instantly broadcasts the user’s real-time GPS location to emergency responders and up to five nominated personal contacts.

Unlike smartphone-only safety apps, HelpMe is a dedicated physical device: a keychain-sized alarm that works without needing a screen. The device connects to X2M’s platform, so city authorities can monitor activations in real time and coordinate response through existing CCTV and emergency systems.

HelpMe was developed for the City of Seoul under a $3M contract for 100,000 devices as part of the city’s 2025 Portable Safety Alarm project. Devices are provided free to Seoul residents as government-funded public safety infrastructure. With 100,000 devices now deployed, a further 50,000 ordered and potential expansion to 1 million devices, HelpMe is positioned as critical urban safety infrastructure.

HelpMe isn’t currently for sale to consumers, but the likely model in Australia is through channels rather than direct from X2M. Australia is the next target market.

How HelpMe Works

1. Carry it

Attach HelpMe to your keychain, bag or lanyard.

2. Press it

In an emergency, press the activation button. HelpMe sends an alert with your GPS location immediately.

3. Help responds

Police and emergency services receive the alert and your location. Up to five personal contacts are notified simultaneously.

4. City systems engage

In connected cities like Seoul, nearby CCTV cameras can be directed to the scene and emergency dispatch is coordinated through the city’s response network.
