‘Vision by X2M‘ is a cloud-based enterprise platform for monitoring and controlling connected devices at scale. It connects to meters and sensors directly or through data loggers, giving utility operators live data, automated processes and remote management of entire resource networks.
Supported by patents, Vision connects devices over a range of standard communications protocols, aggregates field data and delivers it to the operators and systems that need it. In many deployments, routine decisions are made automatically without human intervention.
X2M’s patented micro-engine technology (FME) embeds intelligence anywhere from the device level (edge computing) to cloud-based processing.
This means devices can act locally when speed matters, while the platform handles aggregation and analytics for network-wide decisions.

Bottled gas monitoring
Deployment footprint:
- South Korea: 59 municipalities, current customers’ addressable markets cover 64% of the remote water monitoring market, 240,000+ households.
- Japan: Partnership with Azbil Kimmon for gas bottle logistics and smart metering across a 55 million household market. SaaS model already profitable.
- UAE: Licensed to Dicode Smart Connect Electronics for piped gas smart metering. Dicode already has multiple commercial contracts and is expanding into heating/cooling meter services. 10-year commitment. Dicode plans to expand beyond Dubai into additional Emirates.
- India: Government-mandated programme to digitise 250 million smart electricity meters. X2M has been working with a major Indian conglomerate and is expected to enter this market in the near term.
- Taiwan: Monitoring multiple gas companies in partnership with Far EasTone who runs communication networks.
The platform operates on a SaaS model: platform setup fee, per-device connection fee and monthly service fee create high margin recurring revenue.
